In episode 169 of the Learning to Glow podcast, I sat down to share my journey building ITP Beauty and what really led me to create a brand rooted in transparency, safety, and simplified skincare. We talked about common clean beauty misconceptions, including whether clean beauty products are actually effective, and why that stigma persists. I also broke down the importance of cosmetic compliance, from EU cosmetic regulations vs U.S. standards, and why these guidelines matter when it comes to safe, non-toxic skincare ingredients and consumer trust in an industry often impacted by greenwashing. Drawing from my background in sustainability and my own experience with severe skin reactions, I’ve learned how important it is to truly understand ingredient safety—not just marketing claims. Beyond formulation, I shared what it’s really like starting a clean beauty brand from scratch, including the challenges, lessons, and responsibility I feel to build something that delivers results while doing better for people and the community. The host was also obsessed with our award-winning tinted SPF serum, Daily Bawse, and we dive into what makes it a multitasking essential that replaces 5–6 steps in your routine. I’m so excited for you to listen!
